Eating hot dogs around the campfire :)
Poor Sarah...We almost put the poor girl into the labor! Her baby is due in just a few weeks and none of us thought of what a dirt road might due to her. The only thing we had thought of was 'are there bathrooms up there for a preggo woman?'. Nope. She's a trooper I tell you what.
Anyway, as we were heading up the mountain, the main paved road turned into a dirt road, and as we hit the dirt she pretty much screamed from the backseat. The seat belt had tightened around her belly and jiggled the poor little guy inside. So we crept along super slow since there were tons of bumps and ruts in the road from water run off. We finally came up with the idea of opening up my sunroof, and she stood with her head out of the roof. It worked like a charm! Her legs absorbed all of the bumps and little Austin stopped doing somersaults in her belly. Phew!
On Saturday we went to the Strawberry Day Rodeo in PG. It was kind of a lame rodeo actually, to be honest. It was better last year. But it was still fun to go. We were sitting right next to the gates where they keep all the animals and where they riders come out, so were pretty much entertained the whole time with the little ponies and watching the bull riders coming out after riding. They looked like they had been run over by a train. I'm not sure that is fun to do. They did a fireworks show at the end which was scaring the daylights out of all the horses! It was crazy. They were all running in circles trying to get out and piling up on top of each other. It looked like a big 'ol pile of horses.
Then on Sunday we me the fam up at Gma & Gpa Clarke's for dinner on Father's Day.
Here is Ryan with Gpa Clarke on the the bridge in his backyard. He was showing us how high the river is right now compared to what it normally looks like.
This is the river that runs through their backyard. Isn't it pretty. They have their own little forest back there. That river going through the middle is normally a fairly small stream, but with all of this flooding this year, it is pretty high.
I should have gotten a pic with Ryan and his Dad. Oh well...next time. :)
Y'all are such a cute couple!! Looking forward to *the* update, soon! :)
